I was away from Riffs for a long stretch, and it wasn’t all computer headaches and scouring the streets for that wee jangle of argent. I’ve sent a small pile of material out and about a thousand pitches to magazines all over. People from downtown New York know the KGB bar on East 4th Street in the Village, on the same block as La Mama and other theatres. They have an online magazine, whose current issue has two of my pieces, one a short blast in defense of Julian Assange, the other, a long slice of my novel, le Plouc de Paris. The Scottish Society for the History of Photography has an essay on the Hungarian-French photographer André Kertész. The essay started here on Riffs, and grew. I believe my contribu is only in the print edition but give a look, https://studiesinphotography.com/ and write me if you want to read the full text.
The Paris-based revue Délibéré will publish an essay on the vélotaxistes of the capital sometime soon. A lively journal with a lot of different voices, worth your time.
